What are some good quality gas efficiant vehicles?

Im looking for a gas friendly car but you never know the level of quality. My wife thinks that american cars have poor quality compared to foreign vehicles. Women are picky so i just want to know some good quality gas efficient vehicles preferably foreign. thank you.

1. Toyota or Hundai are good (foreign). For fuel efficiency it is of course best to get a standard 4 door regular car size. If you got money you can buy a hybrid as those save a lot of money on gas.
