Why do people abandon vehicles along the highway?
It just seems odd that every time I drive a major highway, there are always vehicles that don't look damaged, abandoned along the side. There is usually a bright red/orange sticker on them which I would assume is a "move it or lose it" ticket. Anyone know what these cars are there?

- Because they quit running, Einstein. Or perhaps they are hot --- you know, stolen and ditched? Alot of people barely have the means to buy a car at all. Once it quits, there is no point, in their minds, to spend money they probably don't have, recovering it.
- broken down. No tools no insurance coverage for towing no way to get it right now. Poor maintenance no spare tire no jack flat spare Millions of reasons.
- Many times, the cost of towing the vehicle is more than that person can afford. You never see really nice vehicles abandoned because those people can afford the tow charge.
- probably because people can't afford to pay for towing away their vehicles.
