Do Boston terriers or dachshund hounds make good pets for an apartment?
I live in a 1500 sq ft apartment with no enclosed yard/patio. Are either dachshund hounds or boston terriers fairly quiet, fairly tame dogs that won't spend all their time gnawing on you?

- as long as you give them plenty of exercise and it is a breed known to live well in confined places they'll be fine. I think the Dachshund is a little bit of a yapper dog though (your neighbors might not like it)
- Both of these breeds live well in apartments. Just make sure they have good walks at least twice a day if not more (to potty).
- dachshunds can be barky:i found that the calmest type is the long-haired dachshund. i had smooth dachsies and now we have a wire-haired one:very vocal wire haired! boston terriers are very lively too,im not sure about the barking.
- Hello. i have a boston terirrier and they make great dogs! I was watching a show the other night and they said that Boston Terriers are quiet perfect dogs for apartments. Of course all pups knaw....but the boston never barks. they are know for being very quiet and dont bark much. They also bacome very attached to you! Not too hiper like somebreeds and not too lazy like others. I would go with the Boston Terrier Good luck!
- I have 2 Boston terriers, they are really good pets. However, they are quite active and do like to chew on pretty much everything. I would definitely recommend these dogs just make sure you have plenty of toys for them and start early potty training them. Good luck.
- my dachund likes to chew on things like blankets so give them a blanket and thell be fine but they love to sleep all day under the covers or play ball but they are great but when they get older SOME hav problems with their backs not all get one i love em
